FUTA Post-UTME Registration Closes Today: Everything Candidates Need to Know

Prospective students seeking admission into the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) have only today to complete their registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

According to the admission schedule released by the university, the online registration period, which began on 1 June 2026, closes today, 3 July 2026. Candidates who fail to complete their registration before the deadline may not be considered for the screening exercise. 

Who Can Apply


The screening exercise is open to candidates who:

Chose FUTA as their first-choice institution during the 2026 UTME.

Scored at least 180 in the UTME.

Possess a minimum of five O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Are at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026. 


Screening Fee

Eligible candidates are required to pay a screening fee of ₦2,000 through the approved Remita payment platform before completing the online application. 

Important Requirements

Applicants should ensure they:

Upload their O'Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal.

Use the correct JAMB registration number and personal details during registration.

Print the completed registration slip after submitting the application. 


MBBS Programme Returns

One notable update for the 2026/2027 admission cycle is the return of FUTA's MBBS (Medicine and Surgery) programme after its earlier suspension. Qualified candidates interested in studying Medicine can now apply, provided they meet the university's admission requirements.

Candidates who have not completed their registration should act immediately to avoid missing the deadline. It is also advisable to confirm that all required documents have been uploaded correctly and that payment has been successfully processed.
