About Us · Welcome To Ogudos

Welcome to Ogudos, a dedicated resource built to help Nigerian students navigate the complexities of modern education and career planning.

My name is Chukwuebuka Ogudo, founder of Ogudos, based in Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria. I built this platform out of a real personal frustration.

As an education enthusiast and a former student myself, I remember clearly just how hard it was. I spent countless hours searching everywhere, trying to make sense of everything from JAMB and WAEC requirements to admission processes, scholarship applications, and exactly which skills actually help you build a real career afterwards.

Information was either scattered, incomplete, outdated, or written like a robot — never clear, practical or truly trustworthy. I knew deep down: there had to be a better way.

That is why Ogudos was born.

My Experience & Credentials

  • Over a Decade of Mentorship: I have spent over 10 years working directly with Nigerian students, providing guidance on university admissions (JAMB, WAEC, NECO, Post-UTME), NYSC processes, and career development.

  • Educational Content Specialist: As the lead researcher and writer for Ogudos, I have developed deep expertise in analyzing Nigerian education policies, scholarship opportunities, and admission cut-off marks to provide accurate, actionable advice.

  • Career & Professional Development Mentor: I specialize in helping fresh graduates transition into the workforce through CV optimization, interview preparation, and remote work strategies.

The Mission

The mission is simple: to provide actionable, insightful, and empathetic guidance that empowers you to make smarter, better decisions about your education and future.

This is NOT just another news blog or copy-paste website. Think of Ogudos more like a mentorship platform. I do not just repeat or report what is happening — I break it down, explain exactly what it means for YOU, and show you the practical steps forward.

Whether you are trying to understand a complicated application process, looking for research guidance, hunting for genuine scholarship opportunities, or trying to discover the skills that will actually make you employable after graduation, Ogudos is here to help you succeed.

NYSC Allawee: How to Survive in Your Posted State

A color-coded map of Nigeria showing the cost of living tiers for NYSC corps members: red for high, yellow for medium, and green for low. The moment of truth has arrived. You've opened the portal, and your NYSC call-up letter is staring back at you. For better or worse, your state of deployment is sealed. The excitement (or dread) is quickly followed by a very practical question: Can I actually survive on the federal allowance ("allawee") in this state? The reality is that the NYSC experience, and how far your money goes, varies drastically depending on where you are posted. The ₦33,000 federal allowance might feel comfortable in one state but will barely cover your rent in another. Having spoken with dozens of corps members who have served across different regions, I have seen first-hand how far proper financial planning can stretch that allowance. Understanding the cost of living is the key to planning your finances and making your service year a success. Here’s a pract...

You have spent years working towards your degree, and now you are ready to enter the job market. You want to know how much you can expect to earn. What is a realistic starting salary for a fresh graduate in Nigeria? The internet is full of confusing information about graduate salaries.
